Privacy Policy

Courtify (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Courtify iOS application and the website at courtify.xyz. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Who we are

Courtify is an indie tennis companion app for iPhone. For privacy questions, contact support@courtify.xyz.

2. Information we collect

Courtify is designed to work without creating an account. We may process:

Preferences you set in the app - such as favorite player, favorite Grand Slam, tour preference (ATP/WTA), widget appearance, and similar settings. These are stored on your device (including the shared App Group used by Courtify widgets) and are not uploaded to a Courtify user profile.
Optional “where did you hear about us?” answer - if you choose a source during onboarding (for example TikTok, Instagram, or App Store search), we store that choice on your device and with our subscription partner RevenueCat so we can see which channels bring paying customers. You can skip this question. This is a first-party survey, not cross-app advertising tracking.
Purchase / subscription status - handled by Apple and our subscription partner RevenueCat so we can unlock Premium features and restore purchases. We do not receive your full payment card details.
Support messages - if you email us, we receive the address and content you send.
Technical request data - when the app refreshes tennis data from our Cloudflare Worker, standard server logs (such as IP address, user agent, and timestamps) may be processed by Cloudflare in the ordinary course of delivering the service.
Product analytics - in App Store / TestFlight builds we record a small set of first-party events (for example which onboarding screen you reach, whether a paywall is shown or dismissed, star ratings you submit in-app, and failed data refreshes). Events are tied to an anonymous RevenueCat app user ID, not your name or email. We do not collect IDFA, and we do not use this data for advertising.

We do not require you to create a Courtify login, and we do not sell personal information.

3. Tennis data

Rankings, fixtures, live scores, and related tennis information are fetched through our backend (a Cloudflare Worker) from licensed upstream sports data providers. That content is sports data, not your personal profile. Optional lookups for a custom favorite player (rank, photo, season record) run only when you choose that player.

To maintain security, prevent abuse, and operate our infrastructure

5. Third-party services

We use trusted providers to run Courtify:

Apple - App Store distribution, In-App Purchases, and related platform services
RevenueCat - subscription status, purchase restoration, and optional onboarding survey attributes you choose to provide
PostHog - product analytics for the events described above (session replay is off)
Cloudflare - hosting our Worker API and this website’s delivery network
Upstream tennis data / photo providers - via our Worker, only as needed to show rankings, scores, and player media

These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies. We configure them to support Courtify’s features and do not use them to build advertising profiles about you.

6. Analytics & advertising

Courtify uses PostHog for first-party product analytics so we can improve onboarding and Premium. We do not include advertising SDKs, attribution SDKs, or login. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-app tracking advertising, and we do not ask for App Tracking Transparency permission. Channel insight comes from (1) Apple’s own App Store campaign links and Sources reports, (2) the optional onboarding question above, and (3) Apple / RevenueCat subscription records. We do not use your advertising identifier (IDFA) to attribute installs.

7. Data retention

Preferences and cached tennis data remain on your device until you delete the app or clear related data. Server-side caches for shared tennis payloads and player media are retained only as long as needed to operate the service efficiently. Support emails are retained as long as needed to resolve your request and maintain ordinary records.

8. Children’s privacy

Courtify is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

9. Your choices

You can change or clear favorites and appearance settings in the app
You can manage or cancel Premium through your Apple ID subscription settings
You can delete the app to remove on-device Courtify data
You can email support@courtify.xyz with privacy requests

10. International processing

Our infrastructure may process data in the United States and other locations where Cloudflare or our providers operate. By using Courtify, you understand that your information may be processed outside your home country with appropriate safeguards.

11. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version at this URL with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of Courtify after changes means you accept the updated policy.
